NOTICE TO MARINERS
Notice N°25ter/2026 (Replaces N°25bis/2026)- Subject : Water use restrictions.
Recreationnal users of the harbor are informed that,
A new prefectorial order (n°26EB498 from july 16th) was issued in replacement of prefectorial order n°26EB473 from july the 10th, related to temporary water use restrictions for the whole department of Charentes Maritime.
Considering the continous worsening of the hydrological situation in Charentes Maritime and the recent meteorological conditions, with various extrem heat episodes; considering the need for everyone to adopt water-conserving practices in all aspects of water use, in particular to enforce the ban on using water to wash or rinse watercraft:
Leisure boat’s rinsing and washing is prohibited on all of “La Rochelle Marina’s” pontoons, all Marina’s slipways or onshore berths. Except for professionals if fitted with high pressure devices.
The sea water washing station of the Marina located at the extremity of pontoon 19, remains in function and autorized for boat’s rinsing and washing.
Hull scrubing only remains autorized in the dedicated area, and only if high pressure device is being used.
Marina’s toilets and showers remains fully functionnal.
We thank you for ensuring strict compliance with these necessary decisions and urge you to implement all measures to limit water use.
