due to private conversations taking place between yachtsmen.

Where possible, please arrange an extra channel in advance and enter into dual stand-by (this system exists on most VHF devices).
In any case, medical consultations performed via radio by the ccMM (Centre de consultation médicale maritime, Medical marine consultation centre) are free of charge and are strictly covered by the obligation of medical confidentiality.
